What is Zoloft?

Zoloft contains sertraline and is an antidepressant which is prescribed to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Sertraline is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) which affects serotonin, a natural chemical in the brain which may be unbalanced. Common Zoloft side effects may include but are not limited to:

• Unusual agitation or restlessness.
• Fast heartbeat.
• Shaking.
• Muscle cramps or weakness.
• Fast or irregular heartbeat.
• Unexplained fever.
• Black or bloody stools
• Unusual weight loss.
• Vomit looks like coffee grounds.
• Signs of an allergic reaction such as hives, difficulty breathing or a swelling of your face, lips or throat.

What should I do if I miss a dose of Zoloft?
