Xyzal oral solution is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of the natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms such as a runny nose or hives.

Xyzal oral solution is used to treat symptoms of year-round (perennial) allergies in children who are at least six months old. Xyzal is also used to treat itching and swelling caused by chronic urticaria (hives) in adults and children at least six months old.

Xyzal oral solution to take by mouth. It is usually taken in the evening with or without food once a day. Take Xyzal oral solution at the same time every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Please do not take more or less of it or more often than prescribed by your doctor.

Before taking Xyzal oral solution, tell your doctor if you have ever had:
