What is Trelegy Ellipta?

Trelegy Ellipta is used to improve the symptoms and to prevent bronchospasm in adults with chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD). Trelegy Ellipta is an inhalation powder which contains a mixture of fluticasone, umeclidinium, and vilanterol.   • Trelegy Ellipta should be used at the same times each day and should not be used more than once within a 24 hour period.
  • Inhale this medication by mouth. Do not open the cover until you are ready to use this medication. Each time you open the cover, a dose of this medication is prepared. Do not exhale into your device.
  • Rinse your mouth out with water without swallowing after using this medication to prevent yeast infections in your mouth.
  • Trelegy Ellipta is not a quick-relief rescue inhaler and should not be used relieve sudden shortness of breath.
  • You may need frequent medical tests or to check your bone mineral density or vision while taking this medication.
  • Discard your inhaler device six weeks after you have removed it from the foil patch or when your dose indicator shows zero. Whichever is first.
