• Do not rinse the dropper. Replace the dropper cap after each use.

If you use another kind of eye medication, wait at least 5 to 10 minutes before applying other medications. Use eye drops before eye ointments to allow the eye drops to enter the eye.

Use Tobradex Eye Drops regularly to get the most benefit from them. Remember to use it at the same time each day. Continue to use this medication for the full-time prescribed, even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Tell your doctor if your condition lasts or gets worse. Do not use Tobradex Eye Drops if you have a viral or fungal infection in the eye, such as herpes, vaccinia, or varicella. It is used to treat infections caused by bacteria only. Do not use Tobradex for mycobacterial infections of the eye.

Tell your doctor if you are allergic to aminoglycoside antibiotics. It may cause an allergic reaction to Tobradex.

How should you use Tobradex Eye Drops?

Usually, the adult Tobradex Eye Drops dose is 1 to 2 drops instilled into the eye every 4 hours. In the first 24 to 48 hours, your doctor may increase the dose to 1 or 2 drops every 2 hours. Your doctor will reduce the dose gradually based on how your condition improves. Shake the drops well before using them. To prevent dropper contamination, ensure it does not touch the eye, skin, or other surfaces.
