Buying medications with Canada Pharmacy Depot can save you up to 90% on the cost of Estrogel. It’s safe, convenient and quick from our reputable Canadian pharmacy and you can order online or call us 7 days a week.

What is Estrogel?

Estrogel is a gel medication containing the estrogen hormone estradiol. Estrogel is prescribed to reduce symptoms of menopause including vaginal dryness, burning and irritation and moderate to severe hot flashes. These symptoms are caused by the body making less estrogen. Estrogel is absorbed through the skin into the blood stream.

Always read the patient information and instructions carefully before using this medication. Follow your doctor’s directions.

  • Apply Estrogel to clean, dry or unbroken skin. Do not apply Estrogel to skin which is red or irritated. Never apply this medication to the breasts.
  • Follow the instructions for priming the pump if using Estrogel for the first time. Once primed, the pump will dispense the same amount of Estrogel each time.
  • Apply Estrogel at the same time each day after a bath, shower or sauna. Make sure your skin is completely dry before using this medication.
  • Press the pump firmly to collect the Estrogel in the palm of your hand. Apply the gel to one arm and spread it as thinly as possible over the entire area inside and outside your arm from wrist to shoulder.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water after applying this medication.
  • Allow the gel to dry for up to five minutes before dressing. Do not smoke or stand near an open flame until Estrogel has completely dried.
  • If you go swimming, leave as much time as possible between applying Estrogel and going swimming.
  • Self examine your breasts monthly and have regular mammograms while taking this medication. Your doctor may want to check your progress regularly.
  • Tell any doctor or dentist who treats you that you use estradiol and tell your doctor if you need surgery, medical tests or if you will be on bed-rest.
