What is Edarbyclor?

Edarbyclor is a medication used to lower high blood pressure in patients experiencing hypertension. This medication helps prevent heart attacks, strokes, and kidney problems. Azilsartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) that works by relaxing blood vessels to make blood flow more easily. The other part of the medication (chlorthalidone) is a diuretic that removes excess salt and water where it is expelled through the urine.

Make sure to always read the patient information and instructions before using this medication. Always follow your doctor’s directions.

  • This drug is an oral tablet that can be taken with or without food.
  • You may want to take it at least 4 hours before bedtime to prevent getting up in the night to urinate.
  • If you take cholesterol-lowering drugs, take Edarbyclor two hours before or at least 4 hours after your other medications.
  • Talk to your doctor if your condition worsens.
