What is Azilect?

Azilect Side Effects

Common Azilect side effects may include but are not limited to:

  • Dizziness or drowsiness.
  • Stomach pain, abdominal pain or nausea.
  • Heartburn.
  • Joint pain.
  • Dry mouth.
  • Weight loss.

Contact your doctor if you experience any of the following side effects of Azilect:

  • Worsening muscle stiffness, twitching or uncontrollable movements.
  • Easy bruising or bleeding.
  • Mental or mood changes such as depression, confusion or hallucinations.
  • Falling asleep suddenly during usual daily activities. If this happens do not drive or do any other potentially dangerous activities until you have discussed this with your doctor. Drinking alcohol or taking other medications which cause drowsiness can increase the chances of this.
  • Fainting or loss of balance.
  • Swollen legs or ankles.
  • Unusual strong urges such as increased sexual or gambling urges.
  • Signs of extremely high blood pressure such as severe headache, vision changes, sudden sensitivity to light, widened pupils, chest pain, neck stiffness, severe nausea, severe vomiting, sweating, clammy skin or a fast, slow, irregular or pounding heartbeat.
  • Signs of serotonin syndrome such as fast heartbeat, loss of coordination, severe dizziness, hallucinations, twitching muscles, unexplained fever, severe nausea, severe diarrhea, severe vomiting, restlessness or unusual agitation.
  • Signs of an allergic reaction such as hives, difficulty breathing or a swelling of your face, lips or throat.
